MedSpeakPro ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MedSpeakPro mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Audio Recordings: When you use the pronunciation assessment feature, we process audio recordings of your speech. These recordings are sent to third-party services (Microsoft Azure Speech Services) for analysis and are not stored permanently.
In-App Data: We store locally on your device: study progress, scores, streaks, preferences, and unlocked content.

Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version (for technical support)
Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including app launches, content views, and purchases (used for advertising attribution — see Section 3)
Purchase Information: Subscription status and purchase history (managed by Apple through App Store)
Advertising Identifier (IDFA): On iOS, we request permission to access your device's Advertising Identifier via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If you grant permission, your IDFA is shared with TikTok to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. If you decline, no IDFA is collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and improve the App's functionality
Process pronunciation assessments using third-party services
Track your study progress and provide personalized learning experiences
Process subscription payments (handled by Apple)
Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (with your ATT consent)
Provide technical support and respond to inquiries

3. Third-Party Services

MedSpeakPro uses the following third-party services:

Microsoft Azure Speech Services: Processes audio recordings for pronunciation assessment. Audio is not stored permanently. See Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Groq: Provides AI-generated coaching feedback for pronunciation improvement. See Groq Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions and purchase entitlements using anonymous user identifiers. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store: Handles subscription purchases and payments. See Apple Privacy Policy.
TikTok Business SDK: Used to measure advertising campaign performance. If you grant ATT permission, the SDK may collect your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and certain in-app events (such as viewing the subscription page or completing a purchase) to attribute installs and conversions back to TikTok ad campaigns. This data is not linked to your name or personal identity. See TikTok Privacy Policy.

4. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS, we request your permission to track your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA) using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. This permission prompt appears once during onboarding.

If you allow tracking: Your IDFA and anonymous in-app events are shared with TikTok to measure ad performance. No personally identifiable information is shared.
If you decline tracking: No IDFA is collected. The App functions identically — tracking is only used for advertising measurement and does not affect any app features.
To change your choice: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iPhone and toggle MedSpeakPro on or off at any time.

5. Data Storage

Local Storage: Most data (scores, progress, preferences) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and is not transmitted to our servers.
Audio Recordings: Audio recordings are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently.
Cloud Storage: We do not store your personal information in cloud databases.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share information:

With third-party service providers (Azure, Groq, RevenueCat, TikTok) as necessary to provide App functionality and measure advertising effectiveness
As required by law or to protect our rights
With your explicit consent

7. Children's Privacy

MedSpeakPro is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data stored locally in the App
Delete your data by uninstalling the App
Opt out of ad tracking at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on iOS
Opt out of other data collection by not using features that require it
Manage your subscription through your App Store account settings

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
